Protector install — quick visual
Lay the protector with the upper protective foil still attached. This lets you reinstall all parts without worrying about fingerprints. Peel the foil only once everything is back together.
Adjust the target bank
Use the marked adjustment screws on the target bank to raise it until the targets sit flush with the protector. Test each target via service test mode before reassembling the rest of the playfield.
FAQ
- Does this apply to the Remake?
- Yes — Attack from Mars and the Attack from Mars Remake share the same target bank mechanism and the adjustment is identical.
- Why does the target bank need adjusting?
- The protector lifts the playfield surface by a fraction of a millimetre. The drop targets must follow so they stand flush with the new surface.
